Presenter: Dávid Karácsonyi (Charles Darwin University, Australia & HUN-REN Research Centre for Astronomy and Earth Sciences, Geographical Institute, Budapest, Hungary)

Title: Australian experience - Sparsely populated remote edges through a regional geography perspective

Dávid Karácsonyi obtained his degree and Ph.D. in geography in our department. He is currently involved in several research projects at CDU in Australia, where he earned a second Ph.D. and carried out extensive field studies in some poorly populated remote areas in Australia. His talk will summarize some of his research findings and the experiences he had on the spot as a geographer from Hungary.
