An article by our colleagues Ferenc Gyuris and Róbert Győri, co-authored with Steven Jobbitt (Lakehead University, Thunder Bay, Canada), has been published in the Annals of the American Association of Geographers (AAAG) journal: https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/24694452.2023.2292808

The study analyzes the positions of Hungarian geographers between 1870 and 1920 on the overseas colonial activities of the European great powers and the efforts of the Hungarian elite of the time to gain influence in Southeast Europe.

The AAAG is one of the world's leading geographical journals, and this is the first time in its 113-year history that it has published an article by a Hungarian author.
